Dark Side Of The Mane - Big Mac

Big Mac's story has been a true trail of tears since Discord rose to power. First he saw his sister Applejack die in the Battle of Sweet Apple Acres, where he could do nothing but run for his life. Some days later, Discord's forces trapped Big Mac and many others in what would be called the Siege of Appleloosa. For two long months, the forces commanded by Big Mac and Braeburn held the enemy armies at bay, while allowing the locals to escape to a safe place. Big Mac parted ways with his youngest sister, Applebloom, and his grandmother, Granny Smith; and stayed to fight his last battle.

Braeburn was killed, among many others. He, on the other hand, made it out of the battle almost unharmed. Anyhow, the war was lost. No army stood between Discord and the Throne of Equestria, and Big Mac had no other choice than to hit the wild and become a partisan.

Haunted night after night by the image of his dying sister, Big Mac and his freemen started raiding towns, killing enemy soldiers, sabotaging infrastructure and trying to raise an active resistance to Discord's rule. The bounty for Big Mac's head is now a little fortune, and the man with the crimson poncho is feared by almost everyone in Equestria, both old friend and new foe.

While the Equestrian Resistance fights an uneven battle in the towns and roads of the country, a rumor flies around the partisans: A plea for help was sent before the war started, and the solution to Discord might come from the outside. Anyhow, Big Mac can't depend on a miracle, can he?
